I figured at least one more post was warranted for June. I really have nothing to say though because all I've been doing is working. But at least I got a $2 tip today at work. That was nice. I work 33.5 hours this week and I got into work today and one of the first things Kelly said was, "I scheduled you kind of heavy next week; I hope that's ok." And of course the first thing I thought of when I heard that was, "Heavy? What was this week then?!?!" It turns out that I have more than 36 hours of work next week. Great. When I was at work today, I was looking at the calendar-poster on the door and I was staring longfully at September. It was odd to be looking forward to the beginning of school in the middle of summer.
Speaking of school, I've been thinking about my major. Before when people would ask about my major, I would say, "I don't know... anything but English." Now, though, I'm actually considering English as a major. I mean, why not? I love to write (see next paragraph), but papers are something I'm not fond of at all. I'm also looking at history for the first time. Other posibilities are biopsych, German, math, psychology, near eastern studies, music, and maybe something else I've forgotten to mention. I thought about doing pre-med, but it would be so much work. Even so, at the moment I have more of the pre-med requirements done than my roomate does... and she is pre-med. Pharmacy is way too competative at UM and plus I don't think I would do well with the possibility of giving someone the wrong drugs and killing them. I would always be checking and rechecking and rechecking again if I was a pharmacist.
In my off-time I've been writing a story and I'm on the fourth page now, I think. I thoroughly enjoy writing. That's probably why I keep this blog updated more than most... I just plain love it. There are a bunch of other stories that I have written. The longest one is 19 pages (single spaced, size 11 font). They aren't stories to be shared though. At the moment they are too personal.
I got burnt during the church camp-out and now my nose is peeling. Oh joy.
Oh! I almost forgot! A guy came in to Kelly's today and he looked a lot like Shawn Ercoli! I did a double take when I saw him. Then a little later after I had just finished ringing someone up, I turned to the counter and jumped because there was stuff on it and I wasn't expecting that, and the Shawn-guy said, "You ok?" and I think I said something like "yeah". Then he bought beer and I had to check his ID. And then when I was giving him his change the stupid beeping noise that means someone wants to get gas came on and I must've made a frustrated noise because he said, "heh, that's annoying." He was hot.
Well, that's my life right now. Exciting, I know.
