Oh, London...

Watching the Olympics... watching the Tunisian swimmer win bronze in the 1500 swimming... the Olympics is fun.  I am so sick of seeing and hearing about Michael Phelps.  Move on already.  The only good thing about him is that he took maybe one class at Michigan.  Basically, he hung around the campus partying and getting drunk all the time.  Plus, some people I know who ran into him on campus said he was a jerk.  And, sorry, but he is not the greatest Olympian of all time.  Just because his sport has a bazillion events that he can participate in does not make him the greatest Olympian.  So many others don't have the opportunity to do eight events in one Olympics because their specialty is a team sport or because their sport has only one of two events.  So stop calling him the greatest Olympian.  The man who will win one gold medal in taekwondo is no less great than this swimmer.  Or the woman who has been winning medals in the Olympics for shooting since 1996, she is certainly at least as great as Phelps.  Oh my goodness, and he is actually on TV again right now.  Stop it already.  Seriously.

In other news, cheer for Nick Willis from New Zealand in the 1500m running thing.  He is from U of M, he's a great guy, he won the silver in Beijing, and he got to be the flag bearer this year.
