Expensive, Pretentious Ann Arbor
And I'm sitting on my new couch! I like it. Black. Leather. Reclining. Lovely.
It's hot. Very hot. And the air conditioning isn't working. Sometimes it works a little, but sometimes it just sucks. And it's hot. Hot.
I went with Tina to the Art Fair today. Walking through the booth covered streets was quite enjoyable. But I drank a huge thing of cherry coke and that made me feel weird. And it was hot, but that actually wasn't too bad. And the art was ok, but way overpriced. Some of it I could understand, like $80 for a painting. Fine. But then there were other things... glass stuff and photographs. These were usually nice, but also usually not worth the price. For example, an 8x10 (or smaller) of some fairly run-of-the-mill landscape was $45 (or two for $85, whoopty-doo $5). No, thank you. And then there was the glass stuff, some of which looked like it belonged in a dollar store. But I really did enjoy looking at the paintings and the photos. The wood stuff and the metal flowers and trees and such was quite nice as well. And then there was the 'bodyscapes' booth. That were interesting. Basically, they were pictures of portions of naked bodies with something happening on the body (golfing, rock climbing, skateboarding). Some of the pictures are a little graphic, but if you google 'bodyscapes' you can take a look anyway. I don't know... I was intrigued.

So, are your walls basically 'nude'? ...you could always paint a scape on them..*chuckle*.
