Today was rather uninteresting and uneventful.

I was in my Great Books discussion which was in Mason Hall. The class was supposed to end at noon, but at noon people were still talking... they were discussing whether or not Achilles was actually the "hero" of the Iliad. They discussed and discussed and discussed it to death and then beat it into the ground 5 times over, 6 feet under and they kept going. Finally at 5 after, people began to leave, so I left as well. I speed walked down the sidewalk and across the Diag, under a building, up a few flights of stairs, and into room 221. There were only 2 desks left, and so I had to squeeze into the corner. Not 30 seconds after I sat down, Jani said, "Hello for everyone." This is what he says every single day at the beginning of class. Well, anyway, that's that and calc was relatively boring today but there was no homework.

There isn't as much racial diversity here as one would think. White people are definitely the majority. In my observations from most to least it goes White, Asian, Arab, and Black. I'm sure there's others but that is all I've seen or been able to distinguish. I don't know... I just got the impression before I came that it was so much different here than what I'm used to, and I really am not seeing it.

I ate a cookie dipped in milk at lunch and it reminded me of this cereal that I used to eat at my grandma's house all the time... it was my favorite cereal.
