Holiday Hangover
Well, Christmas has come and gone. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays, by the way. The whole holiday season was a bit too rushed for my taste. I wish we could've spent more time with family, but that's just the way it is, I guess. My dear husband has showered me with wonderful presents. He is the best ever! We have a ton of chocolate around the house now, so if anyone wants some, all you have to do is come visit us! :) The week of Christmas was sure crazy. It slowed down in New Year's week, but that week went even faster than the crazy Christmas week. At least I had some time to relax before I had to go back to work.
The drive back home after Christmas was crazy. We were caught in the snowstorm and it took us twice as long for the overall trip. And, actually, the snowstorm was only for half of the drive, so the storm really slowed us down to 1/3 our usual pace. When we were home, though, I did enjoy sitting in my warm home watching the snow fall in big fluffy flakes.
Now, things are back to normal. Work, eat, sleep, repeat.
Monopoly is apparently getting rid of an old piece and adding a new piece. Although I love cats, the cat is not the piece I'd choose to add to the collection. In fact, I think it's my last choice. It's too much like the dog. I would pick the helicopter, robot, or ring. Of the old pieces, I think I wouldn't mind seeing the wheelbarrow go. It's been so long since I've played Monopoly that I can't remember what my favorite piece was. Maybe the hat or the thimble? Anyway, Happy January!
