Where, oh, where could they be?
It's great being able to lay on the bed and look out the window and see over the roofs of nearby buildings out to distant trees and and some distant buildings. Before, we could only see the other side of the building and a tree. It's also great to have sun streaming in the windows for most of the day.
So far, the only things that I can't locate (that I've noticed) after the move are a drinking glass and six screws. I just spent a half an hour searching for those screws. I have a memory of me shoving them in my coat pocket on Thursday and taking them to the new place, but then I also have a memory of me almost forgetting to take them out of my pocket before we drove back. I must have taken them out of my pocket and put them somewhere, but there was no furniture here at the time, so I either put them in the kitchen, bathroom, or in a box or bag that was already here. Unfortunately, no amount of searching in any of these places has revealed the location of these screws. Of course, all of these memories could be wrong. And in all the cleaning and putting away since the move, I haven't encountered them. Yesterday, Nidhal and I were searching for some other screws and such, and when we had found the other ones (after much searching) we hadn't come across these screws. I'm about ready to give up. I'm going to check the basement one more time and then call it a lost cause.
Nidhal and I walked to the library today and got library cards. It's a small branch library, but it's quite nice nevertheless.
I still can't believe that all of this stuff fit into a one bedroom apartment.
In other news, I played Flash Flash Revolution again and I was surprised that my fingers still remembered a lot of the moves even though I haven't played in years. (I started playing in the summer of 2006, played occasionally into 2007, and I don't think I've played it since then).
