So Monday we went to the store because we had procrastinated going grocery shopping for at least a week. When we went to check out, we noticed that it was really busy. The reason we had gone on Monday was to avoid the weekend crowds and we couldn't figure out why it was so busy. But then we heard someone saying that everyone was there because of the upcoming snowstorm. Nidhal and I laughed at them because, seriously, you might be stuck at home for one day, maximum two days, before being able to easily get to the store. Even at its worst, this storm wasn't going to snow you in for a week or anything. So we bought what we needed and went home. Just as I predicted, the storm wasn't that bad. The roads were quickly taken care of, and Nidhal and I were planning to go out today to take some stuff to our new place and buy some meat. Well, Nidhal went out to the car to clean it off and get it warmed up, but alas, the car wouldn't start. No matter how hard we tried or how many times we tried to jump it, it refused to do anything. Luckily, Nidhal was able to borrow a car to get to class tonight, but now that the tow truck is taking away our car, we won't have any means of transportation until whatever is wrong is fixed. We are worse than snowed in. And now I wish that I had done a little more shopping on Monday. How ironic.
Since I've gotten my Kindle, I've definitely read more books than usual... about 7 books in as many weeks. I love it.
