Schwammkopf

Watching SpongeBob in German brings back vivid memories of my year in Freiburg.

I just watched Logorama and I do not agree that it should have gotten the Oscar. I liked the logo concept, but the plot and dialogue were ridiculous. French Roast, The Lady and the Reaper, and Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty were better. Overall, though, I think the short animated films were a lot better last year.

I woke up sick on Saturday morning, but the worst was over by 11 a.m. and now I feel basically back to normal.

Currently, I'm watching a documentary about Iran. I was hoping that it would be less about Ahmadinejad than it is. Oh well.

I've got to agree with you on the animated shorts. Logorama was clever and funny in some ways, but the ending was pretty random. It didn't compare to the others.

I loved how they worked with the mirror in French Roast. Animation that can get its point across without a ton of dialogue is always a major bonus for me.

Did you see any of the nominations for the live action shorts? The New Tenants was great! Dark, sad, and hilarious.

I didn't see any of the live action shorts. Do you know where I could find them? I checked you tube, but I only found one.
