A Lot Of Nothing

Today, we were supposed to go see the new Harry Potter movie, but something came up for Nidhal, so I'm sitting alone on the couch. But I had waffles for breakfast and downloaded a song, so that made it a bit better. The song is "Abdelazar or the Moor's Revenge" by Henry Purcell. The song from Pride and Prejudice "A Postcard to Henry Purcell" is based on part of this song. I was in the car this morning listening to classical music on the radio and the lady said that the next song was performed by the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, so I listened a little more than usual and realized that the song was the same as my favorite song from the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack. What a coincidence.

I like to watch cooking shows on the Food Network. My favorite one is Tyler's Ultimate because he makes food that is appetizing and seems fairly easy to make. And he and the Everyday Italian lady are really the only ones that do that. Barefoot Contessa is usually ok too. Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals are easy, but they don't usually look good to me. Guy's Big Bite sounds tasty sometimes, but it is weird and pretentious. Emiril's food looks good, but that stuff is more on the complicated side. Paula Dean's stuff is southern and fried, so that rarely appeals to me. The Neely's are just annoying, their stuff hardly ever sounds good, and they are obsessed with pig. Even before I met Nidhal, I was never a fan of pig meat. I didn't like pork, I didn't really like bacon (only on BLTs), and ham was definitely not a favorite. The only pig thing that I really enjoy is sausage, but that doesn't necessarily have to be made with pig meat. And that's enough about that.

Naps are nice.

Crazy, I was just thinking today that I haven't watched P & P in quite a while and decided that tomorrow I would...and then I read your blog! Well then, that settles it...tomorrow is a P & P marathon day, meaning the Keira Knightly version AND the BBC version :)

I don't personally like Rachael Ray, not sure why *shrugs* I do like Giada though, she's cool! My fave show on Food Network would have to be "Ace of Cakes". I like Emeril, too.

I hope you like "Half Blood Prince", we weren't exactly too thrilled about it...didn't really follow along with the book, but I guess in Hollywood, that's how it goes, eh!?!

Will you be coming up anytime soon? Let me know :)
