The First Day Back
Right now it's 1:30, I have already been to two classes and an appointment, and I still have three classes to go to. This is not going to be a pleasant day.
First I had a German class. The instructor was a little odd but nice enough, but the class was so... not what I am looking for. The topic doesn't interest me (expressionism) and the level is below me (Kalli said it would be). Kalli suggested that I try out a class tonight, and so I'm going to do that. And then there is one that I'll check out tomorrow.
After German was French. It was ok. Hardly anyone in the class had had French before.
Then I went to the bank only to find out that I need to write a check to myself in order to withdraw money. Wonderful. Oh well. So I still need to go back to the bank and also to the post office (I need to mail a CD of pictures to Germany).
That has been my day so far. Next update in a few hours.
Ok, it's now 10:30pm. I ended up going to my next class way too early because I forgot about the Michigan time thing (10:00=10:10). And the class (syntax) was fun. The professor was nuts. He insisted that we call him Sam. I already have some fun quotes from that class. He challenged us to find a class with a more boring name at UM (the title of the class was 'introduction to sentence analysis').
After that class, I went to the bank, bought a book, went to the post office and sent something to Germany, bought a Coursepack, went home, called Lufthansa and United to change Nidhal's meal on his flight, and then went to my next class.
This class was a conversation class for German. Some of the people in it were annoying, but it was generally a good time. The next class was right after it (from 7-8:30pm) and was about West German terrorism. Not my cup of tea. I almost fell asleep. I don't know what German class I'll take. The one tomorrow looks like a lot of work. I have a German class and a linguistics class tomorrow.
And that was my day, my very long day.

I really hope that you can find a good German class to take for your credit, it's a shame that they don't help you a little more there.
Did you get your puter issues worked out or do you have to go "next door" to get online?
Oh - and no mention of the game? Did you go? Did you stay?
Internet is working. It's kind of ours...
The game was hot and I got a monster sunburn. I didn't want to stay (mostly because I was miserable and grumpy that I wasn't in Germany, not because of the events unfolding 28 rows in front of me), but I stayed anyway and I'm pealing horribly because of it.
