Relentlessly Happy

My calc professor is wonderful. I went to office hours today... it was the first time ever that I went to office hours voluntarily and it was cool. The professor was trying to explain a homework problem to me and somewhere along the line he picked up that I didn't get it at all and so he said, "you don't get it, do you?" and I said no, and so he started all over again and he wasn't annoyed with me or anything.

Then when I got back to South Quad, there was a string quartet (made up of students) in the west lobby playing a song from Pirates of the Caribbean. It was hot.

Campus Band tonight was great. The conductor is superb... really fun and funny and a really good conductor. The class went well and towards the end of rehearsal, he said, "I'm really excited... I'm trying to hold it in!" We played the Ticheli, the march, the 9-pager, and the Bach. The Ticheli went very well and so did the march. The 9-pager went as well as can be expected, but it was infintely better than last week. Wow, it feels like so much more than a week since the last Campus Band. The Bach was about the same as last week. The two hours went so fast tonight. It was a good time.

I must do my German and calc now.
