Life Happens
It's kind of like "shit happens" but instead it's "life happens". I know exactly what I mean by it, but I can't explain it to anyone outside of my head.
I bought some shoes today and I picked out size 8.5 since that's the size I've been for years. Well, after I forcefully shoved my foot into the shoe, I realized they were a bit tight and went for the size 9. Those felt a little tight as well, so I tried a size 9.5... and then I looked at my feet and realized I looked like bigfoot (or perhaps a hobbit) and opted for the size 9. Now, when did my feet get bigger? My last pair of shoes I got was a size 9, but I thought it was just the brand that was weird. All of my shoes before them were always 8.5... ever since jr. high or even before. Why would my feet suddenly grow the summer after my junior year in high school (when I bought my first size 9 pair)? Is that a typical feet growing time? On top of that, my right foot is smaller than my left. It's not shorter but it's thinner or perhaps not as wide.
College is expensive. Shopping for college is quite fun except when you realize how much you just spent on unnecessary things... and then you just feel sick. Trust me, you do not want to know what I bought today and how much it cost. I will tell you though that I picked out my new glasses frames this evening. They're of the Champian brand. I was going to get some slightly bigger frames, but my parents liked the smaller ones better. I'm not sure if I should trust their taste or not, but it's too late now.
A few days ago I ordered the Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit game and it came via UPS today. It looks promising.
I've been getting headaches all too often lately. I don't like it one bit! It's either because I'm spending too much time in front of various screens, my contacts are too strong, or I've been putting my contacts in the wrong eyes. Today it was a headache mostly on the right side of my head and behind my right eye, and the pain was augmented when the back of my head touched anything or with certain kinds of motion and diminished when I closed my eyes.
Well, my eyes are begging to be closed for a good 9 to 10 hours now, so I should acquiesce to their request.
1 Comments:
Headaches can be a bother.
I'm looking forward to LotR Trivial Pursuit.
