Inmitten der Nacht
Right now I'm looking forward to dinner, which is about all I have to look forward to nowadays. At least this whole having to sit on my butt all day thing gives me time to learn some Arabic. My one-handed typing is getting a little faster, but it's stll slow enough that my thoughts get way ahead of my hand and I end up confusing myself and jumping from topic to topic without really saying anything. And, of course, all the thoughts have raced out of my head and I'm left wondering what in the world I wanted to say.
Ah, yes, I remember. The power went out yesterday for the second time in a few days. Ridiculous. I was freezing for the three hours it took my dad to get home and hook up the generator. It's times like these that I envy Ross and his wood heat. So the house was even more boring than usual. One of the only nice things about being here is being able to watch TV. You see, Nidhal and I have a TV but no reception. So the mere 12 channels that my parents can pull in with their antenna are like gold. But I can't say I enjoy the painfully slow internet.
I want to go work more on my Arabic.
