Return To Nothing
The playstation soccer obsession continues, but now he's gotten good enough to beat me, which is rather depressing.
We had dinner with Alex and Beth at the Heidelberg restaurant on Main Street a few days ago. It was quite nice to see them again and talk about old times and new times and everything else too.
I'm sick of wearing this stupid arm sling.
The people in the apartment above us are seriously elephants or something. It sounds like the ceiling is going to collapse.
Some Michigan student called and wanted me to give money to the university. I told her that the university wasn't getting one cent. She was annoying.
TOR!
Because of me, Nidhal has discovered his love of video games. He was always annoyed when his neighbor in the StuSie played video games with friends loudly and late into the night, but after we played about five games of Fifa 2005 soccer, Nidhal said, "Now I understand." He did get a little introduction to it from Meg in the old apartment, but I think it took the soccer game for him to really get excited about it. So now I'm happy because my husband likes video games.
Back in Ann Arbor... not much to do. I think we're going to go to the mall today so Nidhal can check out some new glasses. But I believe it would be cheaper to do it 'up north'.
Nidhal and I played my Trivial Pursuit game back at my parents'. I had received the game back in 2003, but the questions were way too hard. It was nice to see that after five years I could finally answer some. Of course, it still took us five hours to get close to the end of the game. We stopped when both of us needed a green piece (sports).
And it's noon and Nidhal is still sleeping.
Do... or do not. There is no try.

There is ton of snow. Lucky for me, I can just sit on my reclining leather couch and not have to deal with it.
I found French song that I like. It's called "Dernière Danse". Je veux juste une dernière danse.
Nidhal made a rice thing yesterday. It was pretty good, but not my favorite. There was rice mixed with tomato paste, meat, and spices that was steamed, and then spinach, arugula, and parsley were added halfway through the cooking.
And that is basically the extent of my life. I'd like to try to make some meatball Tunisian thing today, but I don't know how that would go with one hand.
Inmitten der Nacht
Right now I'm looking forward to dinner, which is about all I have to look forward to nowadays. At least this whole having to sit on my butt all day thing gives me time to learn some Arabic. My one-handed typing is getting a little faster, but it's stll slow enough that my thoughts get way ahead of my hand and I end up confusing myself and jumping from topic to topic without really saying anything. And, of course, all the thoughts have raced out of my head and I'm left wondering what in the world I wanted to say. Ah, yes, I remember. The power went out yesterday for the second time in a few days. Ridiculous. I was freezing for the three hours it took my dad to get home and hook up the generator. It's times like these that I envy Ross and his wood heat. So the house was even more boring than usual. One of the only nice things about being here is being able to watch TV. You see, Nidhal and I have a TV but no reception. So the mere 12 channels that my parents can pull in with their antenna are like gold. But I can't say I enjoy the painfully slow internet.I want to go work more on my Arabic.
