Loch Lomond is an awesome song.
I talked to Ross Wednesday night! I miss Ross.Yesterday afternoon I watched Oh Brother Where Art Thou. It was ok. Then in the evening I watched The Pacifier. I liked that one... so did my parents. It was a cute movie.Wednesday night I watched Take the Lead with Ben, Lyne, Tom, and Alex. I really liked the movie. Antonio Banderas was quite attractive. At first when I saw the cover of the box, I wasn't sure if I'd like it. It was cute, but a different cute than The Pacifier. This afternoon I went to Saginaw with my parents. That was overly annoying. There's really not much to say.Sanctuary by Ticheli is a great song too.
Let's beat it with a can opener!
Well, well. It has been a busy week, has it not? Funeral, wedding, packing, moving. Zu viel, zu viel. ...Much death in many ways... 6 deaths in Arenac county in less than 9 days, not counting the metaphorical deaths.Let's take a poll: What do you think my love language is and why?a. Words of affirmationb. Quality timec. Receiving Giftsd. Physical touche. Acts of serviceI know, it's been discussed a lot, but it must be rehashed once again.Ross moved to CMU today. It's quite sad.Everyone must email me their mailing address. That includes you! (Lyne/Ben, Ross, Ryan, Leslie, Vanessa, BethAnne, Hannah, Jenny[A2], Tina[A2], Alecia, and etc.)... Oh wait, BethAnne's might be on Facebook. Hmm, I have an awful memory. Ross had said what is now the title of this post when he was getting ice and I had to have him repeat it many many times over the course of two days.I was invited to and joined two new Facebook groups yesterday. One is a hot one for people with the last name of Swartz. The other one is for Giovanni, which DJ invited me to. I want them to show up in my top 30, but I'm not sure how I can do that without having to delete other groups. I deleted a few last night and I'm thinking about deleting the Zoolander one.I wonder how Ross's first day was... It feels like he has been gone for a looooooooong time and it hasn't even been a day yet.MP3 is so much better than AAC.
etwas zu vermissen
I'm excited because I got to buy clothes this weekend, Monday, and Tuesday. I got four pairs of pants, a reversible belt, and several shirts. It's fun.September 1st is coming up quickly. Oh, and I have no idea if the German in my title makes any sense. I really don't know German. I've been faking it the entire time. Too bad. Ok, so I know some German (and some Germans), but not enough... not well enough. And that's enough about that.I was in Grand Rapids this weekend and I got to see Anna, Jenny, and Zach (the cat). Zach was really cute... and Anna was too. ;) It was definitely great to see Jenny again.So... Giovanni died on Sunday. It's sad. The funeral was nice. I liked the ceremony of the it, but I didn't like some of the stuff the priest said. However, I did like the thing he said about Giovanni's light going out because he was at the dawn. A lot of people from my class were there. They seem so much older and different than they were two years ago.
Short & Sweet
Ryan and I went to Bay City on Monday. I enjoyed it, but I spent too much money. We went to the mall, Walmart, and Meijer. Then we had some time before the bowling alley opened and so we got directions to a coffee shop with wireless internet. When I got there, I realized that I had been there before with Leslie. I downloaded another song by Ticheli and then we went to the bowling alley. Ryan's friend, Amber, met us there and they bowled for a while. I bowled two games and beat my best score on the first game with a 133 and then beat it again on the second game with a 138. I was excited. After over 3 hours at the bowling alley, Ryan and I headed home. But when we got to Standish, we were hungry and so we got some Arby's and stopped at Angie's to eat it. It was a nice day.Tuesday was pointless. So was today. I'm looking forward to going to Grand Rapids and seeing Anna and Jenny. My kittens are still adorable.Dr. Thunder tastes like watered down Dr. Pepper.
My Foot Itches
All of the stupid TV shows are just copies of another good one. It's annoying. I think the main category that has kept copycats to a minimum has been from the medical angle. First there was ER. Then came Scrubs. Now there is Grey's Anatomy. Scrubs and the other two are easily differentiated because Scrubs is a comedy and the others aren't. ER and Grey's Anatomy are different in that GA centers mostly around the relationships between the doctors whereas ER is more fast paced and develops the patients and their situations more fully. GA has a distinctly different feel.Original: CSICopies: NCIS, Crossing Jordon, Numbers (to an extent), Cold Case, not to mention the two spin-offsOriginal: Without A TraceCopy: Kidnapped (it's new), Vanished (I think it's new)Original: The West WingCopy: Commander in Chief (that one about the woman president who wore too much red lipstick)Original: American IdolCopies: Star Search, America's Got Talent, Star TomorrowOriginal: some reality show (Survivor, The Bachelor, Big Brother, etc)Copy: every stupid reality show out there. And I'm sure the list could continue. But I guess that's just the way it is.I've been watching much JAG recently. It's refreshing to see it again after such a long time away from it. I missed Harm. Season two comes out in November. :)Ben downloaded Sanctuary by Frank Ticheli for me today. I'm incredibly thankful. This version was conducted by H Robert Reynolds, retired UM director of bands (among other things) of 26 years. When I saw his name, I recognized it almost immediately as somehow relating to UM. This recording, however, was made at USC... it's not UM but I can deal with it.It's Jenny's birthday today! Happy birthday, Jenny! (She's my friend from college and Winter 2006 roommate).I keep getting credit card offers, but I definitely do not want another credit card. One is enough and I have 2-ish (my Visa and my debit card that can also be used as a credit card).Ok, that's enough.
Mir ist heiß.
Today is August 2nd. I've felt mildly sick the entire day. I'm inclined to think that it is the heat's fault. But who knows...So I heard that American Pie has free wireless internet for the customer... and I don't know if I believe that. If it's true, then I will be there a lot. I'll have to check it out.Ugh, I don't feel well.Ben and I went to Bay City/Saginaw on Monday. We played DDR in the Bay City mall, went to Herter's and Barnes & Noble, and stuff like that. I enjoyed the day.Ross and I went swimming yesterday. The water was incredibly warm... almost too warm. It was definitely nice.Today I went to Tawas in order to go to the dentist. Gross. I did not enjoy that. And it turns out that I have a small cavity. I hadn't been there for over 3 years. Then I bought season one of JAG at Walmart. Yes, I was excited. It's true, my life is boring. We currently have 4 little kittens. Dolce, Niente, Soave, and Passione. Their names are all music terms in Italian meaning sweet, nothing/silence, sweet/gentle, and passion. Ross suggested Dolce and it just went from there. I'm going to give them German middle names. If someone with high-speed internet wants to legally download a couple songs for me, I'd be very appreciative. I've tried multiple times and it always stops less than halfway through it.
