Change is NOT good.

Wow, I do not like what Blogger did to itself.  This is weird.

I finally have access to Pottermore!  Along with everyone else in the world.  But yay!

Yesterday, I made about a bazillion cupcakes for a thing today.  They were beautiful and all eaten up!

Ok, I really hate how Blogger is now.

Christina Perri's song "A Thousand Years" has some nice lyrics, but musically, it's rather boring.

I made strawberry rhubarb muffins last night, and I like 'em. So does the hubs. Therefore, SUCCESS.

We're looking for cars again. A few days ago, we tried a Ford Escape and a VW Jetta. They were ok, but both were red and we don't really like red. And then today, we tried out a BMW. Yeah, that BMW is Holy Miracle Whip the best thing ever. It's in our price range, but it has a lot of miles and I'm concerned that the maintenance and gas costs are going to be a pain. I guess it's one of those things that you go crazy for at first and then after it sinks in, you remember reality. But you have no idea how smooth and wonderful that drive was. And the u-turn capabilities! It's not even like a car! One of these days, one of these days...

I can say, "today, I only ate a small apple" in Arabic. Woohoo progress.

April's Thoughts

1. Alton Brown's Good Eats cookbooks are fun to look through. I got the first one from the library and now I think I'll have to buy them.

2. Little Mosque on the Prairie (a great show on CBC) has come to an end. This last season was very short and it wasn't as good as the rest, but it's still sad to see it go. Desperate Housewives is also ending, but it had a nice long run and I think it's time for that one to end.

3. I am definitely in the mood for Mexican food. There aren't a lot of Mexican restaurants around here, though. One closed recently. Another one has been crossed off our list because of substandard food. And there's another one that we tried once that was ok but the meat was poor quality. I guess there are quite a few more to try, at least four more (not including Taco Bell, Chipotle, and Qdoba).

4. I have 17 items requested from the library. Unfortunately, all but one of them are either going to take forever or have already been taking forever. For one DVD (Game of Thrones, disc 1), I'm number 75 and they have 5 copies. So I'll be waiting around three months for that one. For the Hunger Games book, I was number 300+, but it looks like they bought a ton more copies (they have 143 copies now) and I'm at 34 so I'll get that one in a couple weeks. I've been waiting for Midnight in Paris and Mozart's Sister for forever and I still have 2 to 4 weeks on both of them. Anyway...

5. I hope that we will be able to see Hunger Games this weekend.

6. A new car would be good. At the top of the list is the VW Touareg (or I'd also take the Tiguan). I doubt that we'll be able to find a great deal on that one, though. New, it starts around $40,000. We'd have to find a pretty old, beat-up one for it to be in our price range. I wouldn't object to a Jetta or Passat, preferably in the '06 to '08 range. The husband wants a Jeep. I guess that'd be ok.

7. It's amazing how just standing and talking can take so much energy.
