I got out of the shower today and was attacked by five sneezes in rapid succession. That was followed up by a runny nose. I do believe I am experiencing the phenomenon known as allergies. The past week or two I have been sneezing quite a bit.
It's hard to type on my keyboard after using Nidhal's German keyboard so much.
Yesterday, I bought some new sandals. I am quite pleased with my purchase. The only bad thing about them is the flip-flop thing between my big toe and second toe. But otherwise, they are quite wonderful. I also got some new face wash, which isn't as exciting as new sandals, but it's still nice.
I never would've really guessed it, but I enjoy cooking. Baking is fun too, but I prefer cooking.
A couple days ago there was a huge robin sitting on our balcony.
And the plan is to be in Au Gres tomorrow and Monday.
Hey, Lyne: could you give me the recipe for the chocolate brownies (I think they were brownies) with the coffee in them? Thanks!
"Schau mich an- ich bin der Mann, der alles kann."
I have a few things to say today.
1. Nidhal is wonderful and I am very proud of him. He is extremely intelligent and successful. He's friendly, polite, good with people, and just completely wonderful. I am very proud of him, and proud that he's my husband.
2. I won something at work and it's actually quite nice. It's a duffle bag made of sturdy material with plenty of pockets. And I got a Sobe hat too.
3. The thought of Macaroni and Cheese Crackers kind of grossed me out. But I had a box in the cupboard and I was hungry, so I got them out. Surprisingly enough, they are quite good... and quite similar to Cheez-Its.
Yesterday, Nidhal and I had a nice time with Alex. ...Four games of bowling and then some Steak & Shake. Alex won all of the games, and I came in second three of the four times. Poor Nidhal was having a rough night. When Nidhal and I bowled last year, he beat me almost every time. Then the Steak & Shake was as tasty as always. Can you guess what my high score was last night?
So how about the Grey's Anatomy? I don't want either of them to die. But I think George will. Anyway, for some reason all the George things were predictable for me. During the first hour, I was thinking that George was probable going to join the army. He always had those looks on his face... And what do you know, at the end he did join the army. And then when the bus-mangled body came in, I thought, 'Oh, it's George!', but then I was thrown when no one recognized him. But when they said that he went home early, it was obvious that George was John Doe. Poor George.
I'm doing laundry today. It's the first time since before Nidhal came... over nine months. It is, however, not the first time my clothes have been washed in nine months. Do not fret. For me, it makes more sense to take my clothes home to my mommy where it doesn't cost $10 to wash and dry them. Anyway...
I won a prize at work. The prize wasn't great, but it was a little mood-brightener after last week.
Last night, I made a Morrocan meatball thing. It was yummy yummy yummy, but it was better the first time I made it. This time, I put in too much tomato paste and so the cinnamon flavor was overshadowed by tomato.
I really want the seventh Harry Potter in German. Really really really. Maybe if it didn't cost €25 and then €15 more to ship it here... Sigh.
I wanted to post this last time, but it didn't work, so hopefully it will work today.
Today was a nice day. I spent quite a bit of it picking my top five on Facebook's "Living Social" application. Other time was spent trying to figure out Eastern's website. (UM's is way better). Did I mention that I was accepted to EMU's Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) master's program? Well, I was. And the website is ridiculous.
And now the stupid people and their stupid bass are annoying me. Just shut-up! I should not have to unwillingly listen to your crap you call music.
